Greensboro Parks and Recreation’s Active Adult Programs are designed to create a positive and competitive opportunity for men and women 50 and over to participate in fun activities in order to socialize, be active and develop positive relationships. with other members of the Greensboro community. These programs maintain a family and sporty atmosphere. These guidelines extend to all players and spectators.
Information on men’s and women’s leagues
The active adults program will offer a three-on-three basketball league for those 50 and over for the first time from January to February 2022.
Each player must complete the participant registration form before participating.
Registration is open November 1-30, in person at the Trotter Active Adult Center or online.
The cost is $ 20 per person and includes a shirt.
You can register individually or as a team. There is a maximum of six players per team. Each player must complete a participant registration form.
The teams will be ranked and will compete by age: 50+, 60+, 70+, etc. The age of the team is determined by the youngest player. Age is determined by the player’s age on December 31st.
Practices and games take place on weekday evenings during the winter months at the Trotter Active Adult Center. Practices will begin in December. The season will run from January 10 to March 4, with one game and one practice per week during the season.
The league will be governed by NC Senior Games 3 of 3 Basketball Rules.
Rankings will be displayed on the Friday dashboard during the season.
